Accountant

About the role

The Accountant will ensure accurate, timely, and compliant accounting and financial transactions for the SAS Toyota Dealer in Erbil. This role supports month‑end and year‑end closing, monitors receivables and payables, and provides reliable financial information for management decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Record daily financial transactions, prepare journal entries, invoices, receipts and payments.
• Monitor and reconcile cash, bank, customer, supplier and other balance‑sheet accounts.
• Manage accounts payable and receivable, track outstanding balances and follow up overdue payments.
• Verify sales, vehicle, spare‑parts and service transactions for accuracy and proper documentation.
• Support preparation of monthly, quarterly and annual financial reports and assist with closing procedures.
• Coordinate with Sales, Service, Parts, HR, Procurement and other departments on accounting matters.
• Prepare documentation for internal and external audits and ensure compliance with company policies and local regulations.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in accounting or finance.
• 3‑5 years of accounting experience, preferably in automotive or dealership environment.
• Excellent communication, organizational and problem‑solving skills.
• Fluent in Arabic and Kurdish; Upper‑Intermediate to Advanced English.
