Senior FMCG Accountant - Groceries

About the role

Baly is seeking a highly experienced Senior FMCG Accountant to build and manage the end‑to‑end accounting and financial operations of its new Grocery Division. The role requires hands‑on experience in online grocery, quick commerce, dark stores, or FMCG retail.

Key responsibilities

• Establish and manage the complete accounting cycle, including chart of accounts, policies, procedures and internal controls.
• Handle inventory accounting, stock valuation, COGS, and reconcile physical inventory with system records.
• Manage supplier accounts, purchase reconciliations, credit notes, rebates and payment schedules.
• Define accounting requirements for ERP implementation and ensure accurate data integration across systems.
• Perform daily sales and payment reconciliation, investigate discrepancies and provide accurate financial reporting.
• Analyze profitability by SKU, category, store and city, and identify cost‑saving opportunities.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance or related field.
• 5–7 years of accounting experience, with at least 3 years in FMCG, grocery retail or quick commerce.
• Proven experience managing end‑to‑end accounting operations for a grocery or FMCG business.
• Strong analytical, organizational and problem‑solving abilities, with the capacity to work independently.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel and Google Sheets for financial analysis and reporting.
• Practical experience with ERP systems and financial system integrations.
• Expertise in inventory accounting, stock valuation, COGS and supplier reconciliation.
