About the role
The Facility Maintenance Lead provides expert guidance on real‑property asset control, facility maintenance administration, and project execution for the Baghdad Diplomatic Support Center (BDSC). The role supports U.S. Department of State missions by ensuring facilities operate efficiently and safely.
Key responsibilities
- Advise BDSC management and contractors on facility operations, renovations, moves, and utility services.
- Maintain accurate records of buildings, assets, equipment, and materials.
- Serve as principal advisor to the Facilities Manager, Deputy Director, and senior officials on operational and facilities requirements.
- Brief senior leadership on operational developments, trends, and issues.
- Oversee data integrity in Global Maintenance Management and Real Property Accounting systems.
- Coordinate with Facility Manager and A/CORs to ensure contract compliance for maintenance and construction projects.
- Identify alternatives for meeting operational requirements and develop action plans.
- Ensure timely completion of required actions and follow‑up on senior leadership decisions.
Required profile
- Extensive experience in facilities management within a government or diplomatic environment.
- Proven ability to advise senior leadership and coordinate multi‑disciplinary teams.
- Strong understanding of contract management and compliance.
- Excellent record‑keeping and reporting skills.
