Aviation Logistics Manager – OCONUS

About the role

Amentum is looking for an Aviation Logistics Manager to support aircraft maintenance and parts inventory operations at Martyr BG Ali Flaih (Balad) Air Base, Iraq. The role ensures that all logistics, procurement, and inventory activities align with program requirements and sustain operational readiness.

Key responsibilities

• Manage material requirements, inventory control, and logistics for aircraft parts throughout the procurement lifecycle.
• Validate aircraft parts status, oversee receiving, shipping, and repair processes.
• Update and maintain aircraft data collection system files.
• Initiate purchase requisitions, coordinate transportation of goods, and allocate procurements.
• Provide leadership with KPI data, forecast and track procurements for purchase, repair, or calibration.
• Serve as primary point of contact for property records, ensuring compliance with documentation requirements.
• Compile and submit daily, weekly, and ad‑hoc reports such as accountability reports and parts trackers.
• Engage stakeholders to develop effective logistics solutions and maintain continuous communication.

Required profile

• Versatile experience in aviation logistics, inventory management, and procurement.
• Strong understanding of aircraft parts storage, handling, and repair cycles.
• Ability to make sound judgments based on operational requirements and resource availability.
• Excellent communication skills for stakeholder coordination and reporting.
