Technical Specialist – Gas Field Operations & Maintenance

About the role

AntonAnton Oilfield Services Group is seeking a Technical Specialist to lead the implementation, optimisation and on‑site technical guidance of gas field operational solutions for its SIBA CPF Operation and Maintenance team in Basra, Iraq. The role combines hands‑on field support with data‑driven analysis to ensure efficient and safe gas production.

Key responsibilities

• Lead implementation, optimisation and on‑site technical guidance of gas field operational and technical solutions.
• Handle complex technical consultations and resolve operational and engineering‑related issues independently.
• Collect, organise, analyse and summarise technical and operational data to support project performance and decision‑making.
• Prepare, update and maintain technical documentation, operating procedures and work instructions.
• Collaborate with engineers on technical research, process optimisation and continuous improvement initiatives.
• Coordinate with internal teams and external stakeholders to ensure effective execution of technical projects and solutions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or higher in Petroleum Engineering, Gas Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 8 years of experience in gas field technical support and process optimisation, preferably on projects in Iraq or the Middle East.
• Fluent English with strong technical communication, coordination and documentation skills.
