Senior .NET Backend Developer – Mobile & Banking/Payment Applications

About the role

The National Bank of Iraq is looking for an experienced Senior .NET Backend Developer to design and implement secure, scalable services for its mobile banking and payment platforms. You will work on API creation, integration with payment gateways, and ensure strict compliance with financial regulations.

Key responsibilities

• Design, develop, and maintain secure APIs for mobile banking and payment processing.
• Ensure solutions meet PCI DSS, PSD2, GDPR, AML and KYC requirements.
• Integrate third‑party payment gateways and core banking systems safely.
• Implement encryption, authentication, authorization, transaction integrity, idempotency and audit logging.
• Deploy, scale and troubleshoot applications on IIS and cloud environments.
• Monitor and remediate security vulnerabilities in financial systems.

Required profile

• Minimum 3 years of backend development experience, preferably in banking or payment domains.
• Strong understanding of financial compliance standards and payment protocols.
• Proven ability to work collaboratively with cross‑functional teams.
