Quality Assurance Specialist – Digital Platforms

About the role

Zain Iraq is looking for a Quality Assurance Specialist focused on Digital Platforms. You will author and execute test cases to verify each release on mobile and web platforms, ensuring functional, regression, and user‑acceptance testing are performed accurately and on schedule.

Key responsibilities

• Write detailed test cases and conditions from product requirements, user stories, and acceptance criteria.
• Prepare test data and environments, escalating blockers early.
• Execute functional, regression, compatibility and cross‑device test cycles.
• Run automated test suites, report failures and flag suite defects.
• Support User Acceptance Testing by preparing scripts, guiding stakeholders and documenting outcomes.
• Log defects with clear reproduction steps, severity assessment and retest fixes.
• Escalate high‑severity or launch‑blocking defects to senior QA staff.
• Report test progress, coverage and defect status; maintain up‑to‑date test documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering or related field.
• Minimum 3 years of hands‑on QA or software testing experience, preferably with mobile apps and web products.
• Proven ability to author test cases from written requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience executing functional, regression and cross‑device testing cycles.
• Experience supporting UAT cycles with business stakeholders.
• Experience working in Agile delivery teams.
