ICT Associate – Head of ICT Unit

About the role

The ICT Associate – Head of ICT Unit will lead the Common Premises ICT team within the UNDP Country Office, ensuring the delivery of high‑quality, secure, and cost‑effective ICT services to all participating agencies. This senior position combines strategic planning, infrastructure management, and team supervision to support UNDP’s operational needs.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the ICT team and coordinate implementation of ICT activities in line with UNDP standards.
• Integrate ICT assets and systems received from UNAMI, ensuring minimal disruption.
• Oversee de‑commissioning, repurposing, documentation, labeling, and disposal of ICT infrastructure.
• Develop local ICT budgets, procurement forecasts, and asset‑management reports for internal and donor reporting.
• Manage local IT support operations, including help‑desk services, network availability, and end‑user hardware/software support.
• Supervise national ICT staff and contractors, delegating responsibilities and monitoring performance.
• Liaise with service providers, vendors, and partners for procurement, maintenance, and service delivery.
• Collaborate with the UNDP ICT Team on network and security management for the common premises.

Required profile

• Proven leadership experience in managing ICT teams and projects.
• Strong understanding of UNDP operational requirements and corporate ICT policies.
• Ability to develop budgets, forecasts, and detailed asset reports.
• Excellent coordination skills with internal and external stakeholders.
