About the role

Launch your engineering career as a Field Engineer with Weatherford’s NextGen Graduate Program in Iraq. You will work on‑site at oil‑and‑gas rigs, gaining hands‑on experience with advanced downhole tools and real‑time problem solving from day one.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare, deploy and operate advanced downhole tools to meet wellsite objectives.
• Use simulation software to design and optimise wellsite solutions for clients.
• Analyse performance data, recommend improvements and create detailed post‑job reports.
• Manage equipment logistics and ensure seamless setup and operation at the rig.
• Provide front‑line engineering support, resolve issues independently and champion safety, quality and continuous improvement.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in any engineering discipline obtained within the last 24 months.
• Maximum of one year of professional experience.
• Fluent English (written and spoken).
• Strong communication and interpersonal abilities.
• Analytical mindset with critical‑thinking and decision‑making skills.
• Passion for hands‑on work in dynamic on‑shore or off‑shore environments.
