Assistant Technician

About the role

Assistant Technician provides support to certified automotive technicians at SAS- Toyota Dealer in Baghdad, assisting with vehicle inspections, maintenance, and repairs under supervision.

Key responsibilities

• Assist certified technicians with vehicle inspections, test drives, and diagnostic tests to identify issues.
• Support routine maintenance services such as oil changes, tire rotations, fluid flushes, and filter replacements.
• Help with minor repairs and component replacements, including brake pads, spark plugs, belts, and hoses.
• Maintain inventory of parts and tools, retrieve and restock components as needed.
• Keep the work area clean and organized, and dispose of waste according to safety regulations.

Required profile

• Diploma or technical certification in Automotive Technology, Mechanical Engineering, or related field.
• Minimum 1 year of experience in automotive maintenance and repair.
• Valid driving license preferred and English proficiency at upper‑intermediate level.

Required skills

• Use of diagnostic equipment, scan tools, and computer diagnostic software.
• Knowledge of vehicle mechanical and electrical systems.
• Operation of workshop tools and adherence to safety procedures.
