Workshop Controller – Service Workshop Management

About the role

The Workshop Controller oversees daily operations of the service workshop, ensuring efficient workflow, high‑quality repairs, and excellent customer service. The role involves managing technicians, coordinating with service advisors and the parts department, and maintaining compliance with Toyota standards.

Key responsibilities

• Supervise and assign work orders to technicians, prioritising tasks to meet service schedules.
• Monitor technician productivity, provide guidance and training, and conduct quality inspections of completed work.
• Coordinate with service advisors to communicate repair status and with the parts department to ensure timely parts availability.
• Maintain accurate workshop records using dealership management software.
• Resolve customer complaints related to workshop operations and assist in recruiting and developing workshop staff.

Required profile

• High school diploma or equivalent; automotive technology certification preferred.
• 5+ years experience as an automotive technician with a focus on diagnostics.
• Manufacturer‑specific training or certifications from Toyota or similar programs.
