Workshop Activities Operations Planner

About the role

We are looking for a highly organized Workshop Activities Operations Planner to manage the end‑to‑end workflow of workshop customer orders in Iraq. The role ensures that all operational activities, from order handover to final delivery, are executed on time, within budget, and in line with customer specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Plan and coordinate workshop activities from sales order handover through completion and delivery.
• Prepare route cards and purchase requisitions for job‑related materials and services.
• Develop and maintain detailed project and production schedules.
• Coordinate with subcontractors, vendors, and service providers to ensure timely execution.
• Monitor progress against schedules, identify bottlenecks, and implement corrective actions.
• Improve processes to boost productivity and meet customer specifications.
• Maintain detailed project network plans, integrating subcontractor activities.
• Manage resource planning to balance workloads and optimize manpower and equipment utilization.
• Provide regular internal and external progress reports.
• Track and maintain key performance indicators (KPIs) for the department.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree or diploma in Mechanical Engineering or a related discipline.
• 5–10 years of experience in workshop, production, or operations planning within Oil & Gas, Engineering, Manufacturing, Industrial Services, or rotating equipment repair.
• Proven experience coordinating with subcontractors, suppliers, and service providers.
• Strong understanding of planning principles, production scheduling, and workflow management.
• Good knowledge of machining, welding, assembly, inspection, testing, and rotating equipment repair processes.
