Assistant Service Manager – Automotive Service

About the role

The Assistant Service Manager supports the Service Manager in daily operations of the service department at the Erbil Toyota dealership. This role ensures smooth workflow, high‑quality service delivery, and excellent customer satisfaction within the service centre.

Key responsibilities

• Assist in establishing and communicating short‑ and long‑term objectives for the service department.
• Supervise sub‑ordinates, ensuring compliance with company policies and procedures.
• Oversee vehicle reception, maintenance scheduling, and approval of service requirements.
• Conduct random vehicle inspections and road tests to maintain quality standards.
• Coordinate with sales, marketing, training, and spare‑parts teams to ensure seamless inter‑departmental workflow.
• Handle warranty claims, billing, and collection processes accurately.
• Monitor workshop and body‑shop conditions, safety standards, and equipment maintenance.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical or Automotive Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 7 years of relevant experience, including at least 2 years in a managerial role.
• Strong knowledge of vehicle diagnostics, repair processes, maintenance procedures, and manufacturer service standards.
• Proven leadership and people‑management abilities.
• Valid driving licence and fluency in English; Arabic and Kurdish are a plus.
