Wells Contracts & Procurement Team Lead

About the role

The Wells Contracts & Procurement Team Lead is responsible for driving all contracting and procurement activities for drilling, completions, workover and intervention operations at the Majnoon Oil Field. The role ensures compliance with HSSE policies, SAP system standards and KBR’s commercial guidelines while delivering cost‑effective support to the Wells department.

Key responsibilities

• Lead execution of wells contracting and procurement processes, ensuring timely and compliant support for all well operations.
• Provide SAP system support and maintain data integrity for the Wells department.
• Manage contract variations, amendments and resolve commercial disputes.
• Champion HSSE safety culture, conduct site safety visits, audits and lead incident investigations.
• Oversee a team of SAP and C&P engineers, delivering technical assurance for all deliverables.
• Develop contracting strategies, tender packages, evaluation models and enforce best‑practice standards.
• Coordinate procurement of OCTG, wellheads, fluids, tools and intervention equipment, including logistics, customs and material readiness.
• Track spend, provide cost forecasting, commercial risk insights and act as the invoicing focal point for the Wells department.

Required profile

• Proven experience in contracts and procurement within the oil & gas sector.
• Strong knowledge of SAP for supply chain and contract management.
• Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams and manage complex projects.
• Solid understanding of HSSE policies and ability to drive safety initiatives.
• Excellent analytical and commercial negotiation skills.
