Transportation Logistical Support Specialist

About the role

The Transportation Logistical Support Specialist provides technical and administrative support for shuttle and commercial travel operations at the U.S. Embassy in Baghdad. The role ensures smooth movement of contractor personnel between the embassy and Baghdad International Airport (BIAP) while maintaining accurate records and reporting.

Key responsibilities

• Coordinate shuttle travel submissions with contracting companies and the embassy.
• Monitor shuttle operation trends and produce reports for embassy leadership.
• Maintain passenger manifests, logs, and correspondence for all shuttle activities.
• Advise Department of State personnel on shuttle management and develop forecasts to identify service gaps.
• Collaborate with management, RSO, and BIAP agents to ensure seamless passenger transit.
• Prepare and manage logistical tracking tools for shuttle operations.
• Conduct daily status checks of manifests and verify operations with shuttle providers, GSO, and Al Burhan Group.
• Perform additional duties as assigned.

Required profile

• Associate’s degree OR at least five years of relevant experience in logistics or transportation support.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to manage multiple records simultaneously.

Required skills

• Proficiency in Microsoft Word.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Outlook.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Excel.
• Experience using DOS database systems for data tracking.
