Trade Finance L/C Officer

About the role
The L/C Officer will manage letters of credit operations for the Iraq branch, ensuring compliance with international standards and local regulations.
Key responsibilities
- Issue, amend, advise, and settle letters of credit.
- Audit shipping and trade documents against UCP 600 and ISBP 745.
- Coordinate with correspondent banks and internal departments.
- Process inward and outward Bills for Collection.
- Ensure compliance with Central Bank, internal policies, and AML requirements.
- Monitor shipment and expiry dates throughout the L/C lifecycle.
- Prepare periodic trade finance reports and maintain proper documentation.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Finance, Accounting, Business Administration or related field.
- 1–3 years experience in trade finance or letters of credit operations.
Required skills
- Strong knowledge of UCP 600, ISBP 745 and Incoterms.
- Experience handling Bills for Collection (inward and outward).
