Technical Service Engineer – Utility PV & ESS

About the role

The Technical Service Engineer will support utility‑scale photovoltaic (PV) and energy storage system (ESS) projects across Iraq. You will provide product training, after‑sales support, and field services to ensure high customer satisfaction and reliable system performance.

Key responsibilities

• Deliver product training to service partners on utility PV and ESS solutions.
• Provide telephone and email after‑sales support for key customers, handling inquiries and escalations.
• Develop commissioning plans and coordinate on‑site commissioning activities.
• Assist the line manager in overseeing support operations and managing escalation processes.
• Perform field services—including pre‑commissioning, commissioning, maintenance, fault diagnosis, and repairs—with internal teams and service partners.
• Monitor systems remotely for basic O&M and warranty tasks.
• Conduct product testing, fault diagnosis, and workshop repairs.
• Track complex technical issues and collaborate with internal technical and R&D teams to deliver solutions.
• Continuously update knowledge of relevant products and services.
• Communicate with management, sales, and customers to support business development.

Required profile

• Degree in Electrical Engineering, Renewable Engineering or a related field.
• Minimum 5 years of technical support and product maintenance experience, preferably in low‑voltage and high‑voltage environments.
• Excellent written and verbal English communication skills.
• Professional telephone customer‑service abilities.
• Strong problem‑solving, analytical, organization and time‑management capabilities.
