Team Lead Rider – Ground Operations

About the role

Talabat is looking for a proactive Team Lead to oversee rider performance and ground operations in a designated city zone. You will be responsible for driving service excellence, managing a team of coordinators, and ensuring riders meet the highest standards of professionalism.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and improve rider performance and compliance across allocated zones.
• Lead rider recruitment, onboarding, and training in partnership with Rider Trainers and Supervisors.
• Manage rider rosters, shift allocations, breaks, and off‑days.
• Oversee inventory usage and compliance of rider equipment.
• Implement performance improvement plans for low‑performing riders and reduce customer complaints.
• Conduct on‑ground audits of fleet appearance and rider behavior.
• Coach, warn, and develop riders based on individual performance metrics.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree.
• 2–3 years of experience in the food or grocery tech industry (preferred).
• Strong written and verbal communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Proven people‑management experience, including leading larger groups.
• Influential negotiation and public‑speaking abilities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with Google Suite tools (Docs, Sheets, Slides, Forms).
