Teaching Assistant

About the role

The Teaching Assistant provides support to teachers both inside and outside the classroom at CADMUS® International School in Baghdad. The role helps students understand and complete their assignments while maintaining a safe, clean, and productive learning environment.

Key responsibilities

• Assist teachers in monitoring class schedules and reinforcing classroom rules.
• Record and manage student attendance, delivering forms to the office.
• Prepare and maintain class displays, bulletin boards, and visual materials as directed.
• Document student progress and communicate with the Academic Quality Controller when needed.
• Organize and clean reading folders, and support teachers in correcting student work.
• Supervise snack/lunch periods, hygiene routines, outdoor play, nap/quiet time, and morning care.
• Prepare materials for art classes and clean up after lessons.
• Support school events, trips, and other activities as required.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related field or equivalent qualification.
• Proficiency in English.
• Professional behavior, ethical conduct, and strong communication skills.
• Commitment to delivering results, continuous improvement, and accountability.
• Ability to meet all employment requirements, including background and reference checks.
