Student Supervisor

About the role

The Student Supervisor ensures a safe, orderly, and disciplined environment throughout the school day. Working closely with teachers, prefects, and parents, the role supports students in developing respectful behavior and maximising learning time.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct corridor, bathroom and classroom checks before the start of the day to guarantee cleanliness and safety.
• Coordinate student line‑ups before, during and after recess with SLO prefects to maintain order.
• Manage transition times between classes to minimise downtime.
• Mentor students on the importance of discipline and a calm learning atmosphere.
• Enter accurate attendance, infractions and other data into the SABIS School Management System.
• Contact and follow up with parents regarding student absences or behavioural issues.
• Observe classes to ensure a calm environment and intervene in bullying or fighting.
• Accompany students to the bus area after school and verify correct bus allocation.
• Prepare daily reports on teacher observations, student infractions and complaints.
• Assist with exam hall supervision and enforce safety rules during activities.

Required profile

• Strong ability to maintain a safe and orderly school environment.
• Excellent communication skills with students, staff and parents.
• Attention to detail for accurate reporting and data entry.
• Experience supervising students in a school setting.
• Commitment to promoting the Student Life Code of Honor.
