Site Planning & Reporting Engineer

About the role

The EIW+NWP Site Planning & Reporting Engineer provides accurate planning and reporting support for the EIW and NWP components of a large-scale Oil and Gas project in Basrah, Iraq. The role coordinates closely with multiple stakeholders and integrates site and project-level schedules and reports, while maintaining high HSE standards across all activities.

Key responsibilities

• Promote a strong HSE culture by ensuring planning and reporting comply with company HSE standards.
• Support lessons learned documentation and feedback for continuous improvement.
• Review site schedules and progress regularly to align with project milestones.
• Prepare and maintain progress reports, dashboards and presentations for internal and external stakeholders.
• Coordinate with contractors and subcontractors to collect and validate progress data.
• Analyse variances between planned and actual performance and propose mitigation measures.
• Integrate site schedules with overall project schedules and take part in site progress meetings.
• Maintain project documentation and identify and mitigate risks linked to schedule variances and reporting discrepancies.

Required profile

• Minimum 6 years in planning and reporting roles, preferably in Oil and Gas projects.
• At least 3 years in a similar role covering detailed planning and reporting for large-scale projects.
• Degree in Engineering, Project Management or a related field.
• Fluent English; Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Project planning tools such as Primavera P6 and MS Project, and reporting software.
• Earned value management knowledge.
• Strong analytical skills for variance analysis and risk identification.
• Organizational, communication and problem-solving skills, working with multidisciplinary teams.
