Site Camp Coordinator

About the role

Fisher HR is recruiting a Site Camp Coordinator in Basrah, Iraq, to oversee the accommodation camps for a large oil and gas project. The role covers the Pioneer Camp (about 200 people) and the Contractor accommodation camp (about 3,000 people), ensures compliance with HSE standards, and coordinates with contractors, suppliers and service providers.

Key responsibilities

• Ensure camp activities comply with HSE standards and promote the company's HSE culture and Golden Rules.
• Implement camp rules, emergency security plans, emergency drills and induction processes for residents and staff.
• Coordinate hygiene inspections and waste management with the H2SE Team Focal Point.
• Oversee Pioneer Camp and Contractor accommodation camp operations, and review contractor and supplier organizational structures and manpower.
• Witness contractor audits of suppliers and coordinate with the H2SE Superintendent on health and cleanliness, especially in canteens and medical facilities.
• Approve contractor reports and deliverables, monitor camp service performance, building and equipment maintenance, and cleanliness standards.
• Ensure availability of water, electricity and internet, and coordinate logistics and accommodation for about 70 company personnel and visitors.
• Maintain accurate records such as room occupancy and incident records, and report regularly to upper management.

Required profile

• Degree in Management, Facility Management, Administration or a related field.
• At least 10 years of experience in camp or facility management, preferably in the Oil & Gas industry or large-scale industrial projects.
• Fluent English with a minimum Bright Test score of 3.5 (mandatory).
• Strong leadership, organizational and communication skills, able to work under pressure and in a multicultural environment.
• Ability to represent the company with contractors, partners and authorities, and to maintain confidentiality.

Required skills

• Strong understanding of HSSE standards and compliance requirements.
• Team coordination and resource management.
• Proficiency in MS Office; camp management software and knowledge of TotalEnergies rules are advantages.
• Knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.
