Site Operations Manager

About the role

The Site Operations Manager will oversee daily operations and maintenance at the Baghdad Embassy Compound, supporting the U.S. Department of State under the OMSS contract. Reporting to the OMSS Program Manager, the role ensures safety, compliance, and efficient delivery of contract requirements.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain a safe workplace and enforce Environmental Health & Safety and Quality Assurance standards.
• Develop, update, and execute the monthly operations plan and maintenance program.
• Manage site documentation, including as‑built drawings, O&M manuals, commissioning records, and equipment data.
• Establish and maintain the MSDS program for all personnel.
• Design and implement a comprehensive safety program, conduct inspections and training.
• Act as the principal operations representative for the Program Manager, overseeing staffing, planning, coordination, and performance of O&M functions.
• Monitor system readiness, identify issues, and coordinate resources to meet mission requirements.
• Direct preventive maintenance activities, process work orders, and manage large‑task assignments.
• Control resources, track staff qualifications and endurance, and ensure accurate equipment and personnel records.
• Perform additional duties and projects as assigned.

Required profile

• Minimum 15 years of experience in Operations and Maintenance services.
• At least 5 years managing large facilities or similar environments.
• Proven ability to lead teams, plan resources, and ensure compliance with safety and quality standards.
• Strong record‑keeping and documentation skills.
• Experience coordinating with government contracts or diplomatic facilities is preferred.
