Site Lead and Movement Coordinator

About the role

Versar Global Solutions is seeking an experienced Site Lead and Movement Coordinator to oversee the United States Military Group – Iraq (USMILGP‑Iraq) Security Assistance Mentors and Cultural Advisors (SAMA) project. The incumbent will act as the senior on‑site contractor representative, ensuring smooth daily operations, personnel accountability, and effective movement support for the mission.

Key responsibilities

• Direct SAMA contract personnel to maximize mission effectiveness.
• Provide leadership, planning, administration, project management, and travel coordination for cultural advisors.
• Maintain daily personnel accountability and submit PERSTAT reports.
• Update the Contracting Officer’s Representative (COR) on travel status and operational matters.
• Process, track, and record air and ground movement requests, including Embassy Air, State Department charter flights, secure ground transport, and Distinguished Visitor movements.
• Coordinate MILAIR rotary‑wing and fixed‑wing operations and manage access to the U.S. Transportation Command Single Mobility System (SMS).
• Produce monthly movement summaries and operational updates for the COR and Contracting Officer.
• Adapt operational methods to Iraqi customs, political structures, cultural concerns, and local sensitivities.

Required profile

• Proven leadership and personnel management experience in deployed or high‑risk environments.
• Strong operational planning and administrative management abilities.
• Excellent cross‑cultural communication skills.
• Ability to work independently and make decisions under pressure.
• Four‑year degree in a related field preferred; equivalent experience may be considered.

Required skills

• Movement coordination for air and ground transportation, including Embassy Air, State Department charter, and MILAIR operations.
• Experience with travel tracking systems and reporting (e.g., PERSTAT).
• Knowledge of Iraqi customs, political structures, and cultural sensitivities.
