Site Construction Superintendent (Oil, Gas & Water)

About the role

The Site Construction Superintendent will lead and coordinate all construction activities for oil, gas and water infrastructure projects at the Majnoon Oil Field. Reporting to project management, the Superintendent ensures safe, on‑schedule delivery while adhering to KBR standards and client specifications.

Key responsibilities

• Direct daily construction work for oil & gas facilities, pipelines, water treatment units and associated civil works.
• Manage multidisciplinary site teams (civil, mechanical, piping, electrical, water).
• Allocate manpower, equipment and materials to maintain progress on multiple work fronts.
• Ensure work complies with IFC drawings, project specifications and KBR procedures.
• Enforce HSSE policies, conduct site inspections and lead hazard identification.
• Issue, control and close permits to work; support incident investigations.
• Monitor construction quality, track productivity and report deviations.
• Prepare daily/weekly site reports, progress updates and look‑ahead plans.
• Oversee subcontractor performance, validate work for invoicing and resolve interface issues.
• Coordinate material, tool and equipment logistics with warehouse and procurement.
• Supervise water treatment, pumping stations, pipelines and utility networks, ensuring environmental compliance.
• Manage hydro‑testing, flushing, commissioning support and handover documentation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree or diploma in Engineering (Civil, Mechanical or related field).
• 10+ years of experience in oil & gas construction, including water infrastructure projects.
• Proven ability to lead large, multidisciplinary site teams in a high‑risk environment.
