Shift Operator

About the role

The Shift Operator monitors and controls gas turbine operations in real time at the Khormala Power Plant, ensuring safe, efficient, and reliable power generation.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control gas turbine generators, auxiliary systems, and plant equipment through DCS.
• Respond to alarms, investigate abnormalities, and take corrective or emergency actions.
• Conduct routine equipment inspections, identify faults, and support troubleshooting and maintenance.
• Safely isolate equipment and implement Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures.
• Maintain full compliance with HSE standards and environmental regulations.

Required profile

• Technical diploma or bachelor’s degree in Mechanical, Electrical, or Control & Instrumentation Engineering.
• 3‑5 years of experience in power plant operations, preferably gas turbine or combined‑cycle plants.
• DCS Operator certification and a recognized Health & Safety certification (OSHA, NEBOSH, or equivalent).

Required skills

• Strong expertise in Distributed Control Systems (DCS).
• Knowledge of gas turbine technology and auxiliary equipment.
• Understanding of Balance of Plant (BOP) systems.
• Proficiency with Lockout/Tagout (LOTO) procedures and safety protocols.
