Senior Project Associate – Livelihoods (Anbar)

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) seeks a Senior Project Associate to support livelihoods programmes in Anbar, Iraq. The role involves coordinating with government ministries, partners and field teams to deliver recovery and job‑creation activities.

Key responsibilities

• Support the design, implementation and monitoring of livelihoods projects across Anbar and other governorates.
• Coordinate with national and sub‑national authorities, NGOs and donors to ensure alignment with government systems and policies.
• Track activity documentation, monitor progress and prepare timely reports for senior management.
• Provide operational follow‑up, data management and assistance for grant‑funded business development initiatives.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Development Studies or related field with at least five years of relevant experience (or school diploma with seven years).
• Proven experience in government engagement, public‑sector coordination or development‑related work, preferably within an international organization.
• Ability to work under pressure, meet deadlines and communicate effectively with diverse stakeholders.

Required skills

• Knowledge of livelihoods, recovery and community‑based programming approaches.
• Strong organizational and coordination abilities.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office applications (Word, Excel, PowerPoint, Outlook).
• Familiarity with data management and reporting tools is an advantage.
