Senior Product Designer - Digital Platforms

About the role

Zain Iraq is hiring a Senior Product Designer for its Digital Platforms team. The role turns product vision and business priorities into precise specifications that technology teams can build from, acting as the bridge between what the business asks for and what is delivered. It is a technical specification and documentation role, distinct from Experience Design.

Key responsibilities

• Translate product vision and business priorities into detailed product requirements and specifications.
• Define features through user stories, including functional and technical requirements, edge cases, error states and dependencies.
• Write acceptance criteria precise enough for QA testing and for developers to build from.
• Create and maintain product documentation as the single reference for each feature, and ensure backlog items meet the definition of ready.
• Work with technology teams to assess feasibility and resolve gaps between business intent and technical constraints.
• Document API, data and third-party dependencies, and work with Experience Design so user journeys and interfaces are reflected in the specification.
• Clarify requirements during build, review delivered features against the specification, and help define tracking and success metrics.
• Set and maintain specification standards, templates and documentation conventions.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Systems, Engineering, Business or a related discipline.
• 5+ years of experience in product management, business analysis, product ownership or technical product specification for digital products.
• Proven ability to define user stories, functional and technical requirements and acceptance criteria.
• Experience with Agile teams (Scrum/Kanban) and cross-functional stakeholders; experience with consumer-facing mobile and web products.
• Experience in telecom, fintech, e-commerce or high-volume digital products is an advantage.

Required skills

• JIRA, Confluence and Azure DevOps; familiarity with Figma.
• Strong analytical and documentation skills.
• Product management, project/program management and business modelling and analysis.
