Senior FATCA & CRS Officer

About the role

The Senior FATCA & CRS Officer ensures the bank complies with international tax reporting obligations. The role involves monitoring FATCA and CRS requirements, classifying customers and entities, and preparing regulatory reports.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and review FATCA & CRS classification procedures, verify tax forms, TINs and supporting documentation.
• Conduct periodic data quality reviews, reconcile information across systems, and prepare exception reports.
• Maintain traceable records of decisions, coordinate with branches, Operations, IT and resolve data errors.
• Monitor regulatory changes, communicate impacts, and assist in training branch staff.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Banking, Finance, Business, Accounting, Law, Economics or related field.
• 2‑4 years of experience in FATCA, CRS or international tax compliance.
• Fluent in Arabic (excellent) and English (very good); Kurdish is a plus.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of FATCA and CRS principles and reporting requirements.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, especially Excel, and familiarity with banking systems and databases.
• Excellent data analysis and document review abilities.
