Finance Manager

About the role

We are looking for an experienced Finance Manager to lead the finance function of a well‑established food manufacturing company in Baghdad. The role involves overseeing all finance and accounting activities, managing budgets, forecasts, cash flow and financial reporting to support business decisions.

Key responsibilities

• Lead the company's finance and accounting activities and supervise the finance team.
• Manage annual budgets, forecasts, cash flow, and financial planning.
• Prepare and review monthly and annual financial and management reports.
• Monitor costs, profitability, margins and overall financial performance.
• Oversee factory costing, cost accounting, inventory valuation and cost control.
• Manage accounts payable, accounts receivable, treasury and working capital.
• Establish and maintain strong financial controls, policies and procedures.
• Provide financial analysis and recommendations to senior management.
• Support the effective use and improvement of ERP and accounting systems.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Accounting, Finance or a related field.
• 8‑12+ years of relevant finance and accounting experience, including managerial responsibilities.
• Strong experience in budgeting, forecasting, cash‑flow management, financial analysis and cost control.
• Solid knowledge of cost accounting, inventory and manufacturing finance.
• Proven ability to manage or supervise a finance/accounting team.
• Experience working with ERP systems.
• Excellent Excel, reporting and analytical skills.
• Ability to communicate financial information clearly to senior management.
