Senior Cost Control Engineer

About the role

We are seeking a Senior Cost Control Engineer to lead cost management activities for major EPC projects within our Iraq team. The role involves developing and maintaining budgets, forecasts, and performance reports while ensuring alignment with project planning tools.

Key responsibilities

• Lead cost control across large EPC projects, establishing budgets and forecasts.
• Implement earned value management (EVM) reporting and performance tracking.
• Prepare S‑curves, cash‑flow forecasts, and variance analyses.
• Integrate cost data with project scheduling tools such as Primavera P6.
• Monitor commitments, actuals, and accruals to maintain accurate cost visibility.
• Provide regular cost performance updates and recommendations to project teams.
• Support contract administration, including variations and commercial reporting.
• Ensure compliance with project controls procedures and governance standards.

Required profile

• Degree in Engineering or a related technical discipline.
• Minimum 5 years of proven experience in project cost control within major EPC or construction environments.
• Strong understanding of EPC contract frameworks and commercial project controls.
• Excellent verbal and written communication skills in English and Arabic.
• Willingness to relocate to the project location.

Required skills

• Advanced Excel for cost forecasting and S‑curve reporting.
• Primavera P6 for integrated planning.
• Earned Value Management (EVM) reporting and analysis.
