Senior Accountant

About the role

The Senior Accountant will assist the Finance Manager in leading the Finance Department, ensuring accurate and timely financial information, supervising finance personnel, and acting on behalf of the Finance Manager when required.

Key responsibilities

• Support the Finance Manager in directing all financial activities, including accounting, reporting, budgeting, treasury, and compliance.
• Supervise monthly, quarterly and annual financial closing, journal entries, reconciliations and ensure financial statements comply with IFRS.
• Coordinate the preparation and consolidation of the annual operating budget and monitor budget performance, investigating variances.
• Oversee treasury operations, cash‑flow forecasting, working‑capital management and banking relationships.
• Lead internal and external audit processes, ensure implementation of audit recommendations and maintain compliance with company policies and statutory regulations.
• Develop and monitor internal controls, segregation of duties and approval workflows to strengthen financial governance.
• Support ERP implementation projects, maintain finance master data and develop finance reports and dashboards.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of International Financial Reporting Standards (IFRS).
• Experience with ERP systems and finance‑module configurations.
