About the role
We are looking for a diligent Teller to join our treasury team in Basra. The role involves direct interaction with customers, handling cash transactions and ensuring compliance with bank policies.
Key responsibilities
- Receive customers at the treasury, verify their identity and eligibility for cash transactions.
- Execute account transactions after identity verification and provide confirmation of execution.
- Perform cash reconciliation at opening and closing to match actual cash balances with book balances.
- Supervise and participate in cash counting and sorting, handling counterfeit or damaged currency according to policy.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Business Administration, Economics, Finance, Accounting or a related field.
- At least 1 year of experience in banking operations, cash handling or a similar role.
- Strong numerical and analytical abilities with high attention to detail.
- Ability to process transactions accurately and efficiently.
- Good communication skills and a professional work ethic.
