Security Guard – SC2 – Erbil (5 positions)

About the role

The World Food Programme (WFP) is seeking five Security Guard – SC2 personnel to protect its premises in Erbil, Iraq. The role involves controlling entry, monitoring safety hazards, and responding to incidents to ensure a secure environment for staff and visitors.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor and control entry to WFP premises, screen persons and belongings, and issue building passes.
• Conduct regular checks of the premises for fire, water leakage, dangerous objects, or any other safety risks.
• Maintain continuous surveillance and report any breaches of security procedures to the supervisor.
• Use communication systems promptly in case of an incident or emergency to alert supervisors.
• Document and report incidents according to established security protocols.

Required profile

• Ability to work in a multicultural humanitarian environment.
• Strong attention to detail and vigilance.
• Good physical fitness to perform patrols and respond to emergencies.
• Clear communication skills in English; knowledge of Arabic is an advantage.

Required skills

• Experience with security screening procedures.
• Familiarity with emergency communication systems.
