Science Teacher

About the role

CADMUS® International School in Baghdad seeks a dedicated Science Teacher to deliver the SABIS® curriculum and support student achievement. The role involves classroom instruction, assessment, and participation in school-wide activities.

Key responsibilities

• Teach science classes using provided lesson plans or develop plans based on pacing charts.
• Mark exams and assignments according to departmental schedules.
• Discuss disciplinary and performance issues with the Academic Quality Controller and Head of Department.
• Implement the SABIS® Point System to maintain a productive learning environment.
• Proctor exams and ensure a well‑managed testing environment.
• Provide guidance and motivation to low‑performing students.
• Assist with external exam preparation and revision schedules.
• Perform additional duties such as substitute teaching, organizing lunches and transportation, and other administrative tasks.
• Participate in student life events and coordinate with the Student Life Coordinator.
• Attend training sessions to deepen understanding of the SABIS® system.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in a related scientific discipline or equivalent.
• Proficiency in English.
• Minimum of one year of teaching experience.
• Professional behavior, ethical conduct, and accountability.
• Commitment to continuous learning and delivering results.
