Sales Support Supervisor

About the role

Bank of Baghdad is hiring a Sales Support Supervisor for its Retail Banking Services / Sales Department in Baghdad, reporting to the Sales Manager. The role provides operational, technical and administrative support to sales teams so they have the information, tools and resources needed to carry out sales activities, while improving efficiency, monitoring performance and supporting sales targets.

Key responsibilities

• Provide operational and administrative support to sales teams for efficient daily operations.
• Review and monitor sales applications for accuracy, completeness and compliance with bank policies.
• Follow up on customer requests and verify the completeness of required documents.
• Process banking transactions through the bank's systems according to established procedures.
• Coordinate with Operations and IT teams to resolve operational and technical issues.
• Monitor application turnaround times (TAT) and work with departments to improve processing efficiency.
• Prepare daily and weekly sales performance reports and track progress against targets.
• Monitor the accuracy and quality of sales data and reports, and ensure timely submission to management.
• Coordinate with Product Management, Operations, Credit, Compliance, Branches and IT to facilitate sales processes.
• Identify operational challenges, escalate issues and recommend practical solutions.
• Train and support sales employees on banking systems, digital platforms and sales tools.
• Support continuous improvement initiatives to reduce errors and improve team performance.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Finance or a related field.
• 3-5 years of professional experience in direct sales or retail banking services.
• Minimum 2 years of experience in a supervisory or leadership position.
• Proven experience supporting sales operations, coordinating with internal departments and monitoring sales performance.
• Strong understanding of sales processes, operational procedures and customer service standards.
• Leadership skills, strong communication and relationship-building skills, and good negotiation, problem-solving and decision-making abilities.
• Ability to work under pressure with a results-oriented mindset.
• High level of integrity, professionalism and commitment to quality standards.

Required skills

• Good understanding of retail banking products, services and sales operations.
• Knowledge of banking policies, procedures, regulatory compliance and transaction processing.
• Understanding of sales performance indicators, TAT and operational efficiency.
• Familiarity with banking systems, digital platforms and sales reporting tools.
• Proficiency in using digital tools, banking systems and reporting platforms.
