Radiology Technician – Locum Rotation (Iraq)

About the role

The Radiology Technician will operate specialized X‑ray equipment to produce diagnostic images for physicians. This position follows a locum rotation schedule of 30 active days followed by 120 inactive days, supporting medical services in Iraq.

Key responsibilities

• Prepare patients, position them correctly, and operate X‑ray equipment to obtain optimal images.
• Adjust immobilization devices, set exposure factors, and use beam‑restrictive devices to minimize radiation.
• Document patient care and imaging findings in departmental records.
• Maintain and calibrate imaging equipment to ensure proper functionality.
• Apply infection‑control policies and maintain a clean, safe work environment.
• Participate actively in mass‑casualty exercises and related events.
• Perform additional duties as assigned by the radiology department.

Required profile

• Available to work on a locum rotation schedule (30 days active, 120 days inactive).

Required skills

• Operation of specialized X‑ray equipment.
• Radiation protection techniques, including use of patient shielding and beam‑restrictive devices.
• Accurate patient positioning for radiographic procedures.
• Equipment adjustment, maintenance, and troubleshooting.
• Adherence to infection‑control protocols.
