QA/QC Engineer – Project Quality Management

About the role

We are seeking a QA/QC Engineer to lead quality management for our projects in Maysan, Iraq. The role involves developing and maintaining the Project Quality Management System, ensuring compliance with specifications, contracts and international standards.

Key responsibilities

• Develop, implement and maintain the Project Quality Management System (QMS).
• Prepare and manage Project Quality Plans, Inspection & Test Plans, procedures and method statements.
• Coordinate and supervise all QA/QC activities on site.
• Review and approve quality documentation, material submittals, inspection reports and test certificates.
• Conduct inspections, audits and monitor site quality activities.
• Manage Non‑Conformance Reports and oversee corrective and preventive actions.
• Maintain quality records and support mechanical completion, commissioning and project handover.
• Prepare periodic quality reports and provide technical guidance on quality matters.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Mechanical Engineering, Industrial Engineering or a related discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of QA/QC experience in oil & gas, EPC or operation & maintenance.
• Strong knowledge of ISO 9001, welding inspection and NDT methods.
• Four valid NDT certifications are mandatory.
• Preferred certifications: CWI, CSWIP, IWE or other recognized QA/QC credentials.
