QA QC Engineer – Welding & Fabrication

About the role

The QA/QC Engineer will ensure that all welding and fabrication activities meet ASME code requirements and internal quality standards. Reporting to senior management, the role combines inspection, documentation, and compliance monitoring across the production line.

Key responsibilities

• Participate in ASME stamp certification processes and review related documentation.
• Develop, implement, and maintain Quality Control Plans and procedures aligned with the organization’s QMS and ASME Manual.
• Monitor welding procedures, ensuring compliance with company, customer, and code specifications.
• Inspect welded sub‑assemblies at designated hold points and conduct Factory Acceptance Tests (FAT) on‑site and off‑site.
• Review and correct shop fabrication drawings before release, maintain PQR, WPS, and welder continuity logs, and issue final weld reports and certificates of compliance.
• Enforce Quality and HSE policies, report non‑conformities, and promote safe work practices.

Required profile

• Technical degree or diploma in a relevant engineering field.
• Minimum eight years of quality experience in an ASME‑certified fabrication environment.
• Certifications: CSWIP 3.1 or AWS, ASNT Level 2 in MT, PT, UT, RT.
• Strong knowledge of safety regulations, Microsoft Office, and English communication.
