PSEAH Officer (Professional) – Erbil, Iraq

About the role

The International Organization for Migration (IOM) is seeking a Protection from Sexual Exploitation, Abuse, and Sexual Harassment (PSEAH) Officer to join its mission in Erbil, Iraq. The officer will support IOM’s PSEAH strategy, ensuring a safe and respectful environment for staff, partners, and migrants.

Key responsibilities

• Implement and monitor IOM’s PSEAH policies and procedures at the country level.
• Coordinate with the Chief of Mission, Regional PSEAH Officer, and HQ PSEAH Unit to ensure alignment with global standards.
• Provide technical guidance on prevention, response, and victim assistance related to sexual exploitation, abuse, and harassment.
• Facilitate capacity‑building activities, training sessions, and communication campaigns for staff and partners.
• Collect, analyze, and report data on PSEAH incidents, ensuring transparency and accountability.
• Support partnership and coordination efforts with UN, IASC, and local stakeholders.

Required profile

• Relevant university degree in human rights, social sciences, public administration, or a related field.
• Demonstrated experience in protection, gender‑based violence, or PSEAH programming, preferably in humanitarian or migration contexts.
• Strong understanding of UN and IASC PSEAH frameworks.
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work collaboratively across diverse teams.

Required skills

• Knowledge of PSEAH policies, reporting mechanisms, and victim‑centred assistance.
• Ability to develop training materials and deliver capacity‑building sessions.
• Proficiency in data collection, analysis, and reporting.
