About the role
Tearfund is looking for a motivated Project Assistant to support the implementation of its Iraq programme within a consortium project. Working closely with the Programme Quality Director and Project Coordinator, you will help ensure timely delivery, effective monitoring, and compliance with Tearfund Quality Standards.
Key responsibilities
- Assist in day‑to‑day project coordination and documentation.
- Maintain accurate filing systems and project records.
- Support liaison with consortium partners to track progress and meet deadlines.
- Contribute to monitoring, reporting and compliance activities.
- Help prepare budget and financial reports as required.
- Engage with stakeholders, share learning and support knowledge management.
Required profile
- Bachelor’s degree in Development Studies, Social Sciences, Gender Studies, Economics, Business or a related field.
- Up to 2 years of experience in project support, coordination or humanitarian/development work.
- Strong organisational abilities, attention to detail and ability to meet deadlines.
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills in Arabic and English.
- Proactive, team‑oriented attitude and willingness to learn new tools.
Required skills
- Proficiency with Google Workspace (Gmail, Docs, Sheets).
- Proficiency with Microsoft Excel.
