Procurement Officer – Manufacturing

About the role

We are looking for a full‑time Procurement Officer to join our team in Baghdad. You will be responsible for managing the end‑to‑end procurement cycle, ensuring the timely supply of raw materials, packaging and services that support our production operations.

Key responsibilities

• Identify and qualify suppliers, request quotations and evaluate bids.
• Negotiate contracts, pricing and service levels with local and international vendors.
• Issue purchase orders, track deliveries and reconcile invoices.
• Monitor inventory levels, analyse spending patterns and support cost‑optimization initiatives.
• Collaborate with production, finance, logistics and quality teams to resolve supply issues and maintain accurate documentation.
• Ensure compliance with internal policies, ISO standards and relevant local regulations.

Required profile

• 1–2 years of experience managing the full procurement cycle and supplier relationships.
• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management, Engineering or related field (or equivalent experience).
• Experience in manufacturing or FMCG environments is preferred.
• Fluent in English; Arabic proficiency is a strong advantage.

Required skills

• Purchase order processing and invoice reconciliation.
• Contract negotiation and vendor management.
• Analytical skills for bid comparison, cost analysis and inventory monitoring.
• Proficiency with procurement/ERP software and advanced MS Excel.
• Knowledge of import/export procedures and basic commercial terms.
