Procurement Manager

About the role

The Procurement Manager will lead all purchasing activities for Al Halawany Sweets, ensuring timely and cost‑effective sourcing of ingredients, packaging, and other production materials. This full‑time, on‑site position in Baghdad works closely with production, finance, and quality teams to keep stock levels optimal and costs under control.

Key responsibilities

• Evaluate and select reliable suppliers for raw materials and packaging.
• Negotiate contracts and manage vendor relationships to secure favorable terms.
• Monitor inventory levels, analyse procurement data, and forecast demand.
• Ensure compliance with company standards, local regulations, and quality requirements.
• Identify cost‑saving opportunities and drive continuous improvement of procurement processes.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to support strategic sourcing decisions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Business, Supply Chain Management or a related field (preferred).
• Relevant experience in procurement, purchasing or supply chain within food manufacturing or FMCG environments.
• Strong analytical abilities, attention to detail and integrity in financial and contractual matters.
• Excellent communication, organization and stakeholder‑management skills.
• Willingness to work on‑site in Baghdad and manage multiple priorities.

Required skills

• Proficiency with procurement or ERP software.
• Advanced use of Microsoft Office tools.
