Procurement and Contracts Engineer

About the role

The Procurement and Contracts Engineer supports the efficient execution of procurement and contracting activities, ensuring timely sourcing of goods and services while safeguarding company interests. This role works closely with operations, engineering, HSE and other departments to deliver value and maintain compliance.

Key responsibilities

• Execute end‑to‑end procurement and contracting processes, from sourcing to contract close‑out.
• Develop and implement sourcing, tendering and contracting strategies aligned with business objectives.
• Prepare and manage RFQs, RFPs, ITTs, commercial evaluations and award documentation.
• Collaborate with cross‑functional teams to define scopes, technical specifications and evaluation criteria.
• Conduct market assessments, negotiations and commercial evaluations to achieve optimal value.
• Administer awarded contracts, monitor supplier performance, KPIs and contractual obligations.
• Manage contract amendments, variations, extensions, claims and change orders.
• Identify cost‑optimization, value‑engineering and savings opportunities.
• Support supplier pre‑qualification, vendor development and performance evaluation.
• Maintain procurement records, trackers, reports and audit‑ready documentation.

Required profile

• Proven experience in end‑to‑end procurement and contract management.
• Ability to work with operations, maintenance, engineering, HSE and other stakeholder groups.
• Strong understanding of commercial, legal, regulatory and HSE requirements in procurement.
• Experience preparing and reviewing RFQs, RFPs, ITTs and contract documentation.
• Capability to conduct market analysis, negotiations and commercial evaluations.
