Presales Engineer

About the role

We are looking for a Presales Engineer to join Onyxes Technologies’ sales team. The role bridges the gap between client requirements and our technical solutions, ensuring competitive and technically sound proposals.

Key responsibilities

• Analyse customer needs, identify pain points and design tailored IT infrastructure solutions.
• Prepare detailed technical responses for RFPs and RFIs, including solution design and cost estimates.
• Collaborate with sales, vendors, distributors and internal engineers to align proposals with business objectives.
• Maintain strong relationships with vendors and distributors and stay updated on product offerings.
• Address technical inquiries and objections during the proposal phase and ensure solution validation.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, IT or a related field.
• 3‑5 years of experience in pre‑sales engineering or technical consulting within the IT industry.
• Proven ability to translate technical concepts into business value and communicate effectively with clients.
• Commitment to continuous learning and professional development.

Required skills

• Deep knowledge of IT infrastructure components: servers, storage and networking.
• Virtualisation technologies, preferably Nutanix, VMware and OpenShift.
• Technical documentation, solution design and proposal development.
