Microsoft Systems Administrator

About the role

An experienced Microsoft Systems Administrator is sought to manage, maintain and optimise Microsoft-based infrastructure, keeping servers, operating systems and IT environments stable, secure and high performing across headquarters and remote sites.

Key responsibilities

• Provide technical support for Microsoft systems, servers and infrastructure to keep operations running.
• Install, configure and manage Windows Server environments and core Microsoft services.
• Administer physical and virtual servers across multiple locations.
• Perform routine maintenance, updates and patch management, and monitor performance while troubleshooting hardware, software and network issues.
• Manage data storage, backups and recovery, and evaluate the lifecycle of IT equipment.
• Collaborate with internal teams and liaise with external vendors, and prepare periodic performance and incident reports.

Required profile

• Bachelor's degree in computer science, computer engineering or a related field.
• 2-6 years of overall IT experience.
• Ability to troubleshoot and resolve complex technical issues.

Required skills

• Strong knowledge of Windows Server and Microsoft environments.
• Virtualisation (VMware / Hyper-V).
• Backup solutions and disaster recovery.
• Knowledge of IT infrastructure, servers, storage and data centres, and cybersecurity best practices.
