Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation Analyst

About the role

The Planning, Monitoring and Evaluation (PME) Analyst will support UNFPA Iraq in implementing its Country Programme by ensuring robust results‑based monitoring, evaluation and learning processes across development and humanitarian activities.

Key responsibilities

• Manage the Quantum Plus system, track programme performance data, and produce regular results reports against defined indicators.
• Monitor implementing partners, review field data and work‑plan progress, and support data‑quality reviews and capacity‑building activities.
• Assist in annual work planning, prepare the Country Office Annual Report, and compile monitoring information for reviews with government and partners.
• Provide technical inputs for assessments, baseline studies and evaluations, document lessons learned and support knowledge dissemination.
• Offer secretariat support to the inter‑agency Data and M&E Working Group chaired by the UNFPA Representative.

Required profile

• Advanced university degree (Master’s) in Statistics, Planning, Demography, Public Health, Economics, Development Studies or related field.
• Minimum 2 years of professional experience in programme planning, monitoring, evaluation or research at national or international level.
• Fluency in written and spoken English and Arabic.

Required skills

• Experience with web‑based management systems, specifically Quantum Plus.
• Proficiency in MS Excel, Word and PowerPoint.
• Knowledge of statistical software and database packages for data analysis.
