NOC Engineer

About the role

The NOC Engineer will join ZainCash’s operations team to ensure continuous availability of its mobile‑wallet services. Working in a 24/7 shift environment, you will monitor systems, manage incidents and support deployments to keep the platform running smoothly.

Key responsibilities

• Monitor applications, servers and network using dashboards and alerts, identify anomalies and act or escalate as needed.
• Own incidents from detection to closure: validate alerts, classify severity, perform initial troubleshooting, apply fixes and document actions.
• Perform first‑level diagnosis using logs, metrics and system checks; restart services and verify dependencies.
• Provide clear incident updates to stakeholders, log actions in the ticketing system and ensure proper handover.
• Track system uptime and performance, proactively act on alerts to meet SLA targets.
• Support change and deployment windows by monitoring services, validating health post‑deployment and reporting issues.
• Work assigned 24/7 shifts, respond to alerts within SLA and ensure smooth handover of pending actions.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, IT, Electronics or a related field.
• 1‑3 years of experience in NOC, SOC or IT Operations with 24/7 production support.
• Hands‑on experience with Linux and/or Windows Server administration.
• Practical knowledge of TCP/IP, DNS, HTTP/HTTPS and VPN.
• Experience using monitoring and logging tools such as Elastic Stack, Kibana, Zabbix or Grafana.
• Proven ability to analyze logs and metrics for root‑cause analysis.
• Familiarity with structured incident management and escalation processes.
