Night Safety Advisor

About the role

The Night Safety Advisor (NSA) provides on‑site HSE oversight and coaching during night‑shift drilling and completion operations. Working side‑by‑side with the Night Supervisor, the NSA ensures that all activities on the rig floor comply with the company’s HSE standards and that risk controls are actively maintained throughout the shift.

Key responsibilities

• Maintain continuous control of the company’s HSE Management System and related contractor documents.
• Support the Night Supervisor in risk identification, operational risk analysis and mitigation for critical tasks.
• Deliver HSE inductions, toolbox talks and safety coaching to all personnel on‑site.
• Ensure compliance with mandatory HSE training (H2S, ERW, Permit to Work, etc.) for all contractor staff.
• Organise and lead implementation of HSE campaigns such as Stop Work Authority, 12 Golden Rules, Perfect Day and Life‑Saving Checks.
• Report incidents, manage documentation and support HSE committee meetings.

Required profile

• Minimum 5 years of experience in the Oil & Gas industry, including at least 3 years as a Safety Advisor on drilling and completion operations.
• Fluent English (spoken, written, read) and ability to work night shifts in remote on‑shore environments.
• Strong interpersonal skills with the ability to influence and coach crew members at all levels.
• Willingness to join a 28/28 night‑shift rotation and mobilise to Basra, Iraq from Q3 2026.
