NHT/Reformer/Isomer/Gas Plant Field Consultant

About the role

The NHT/Reformer/Isomer/Gas Plant Field Consultant is a full‑time, on‑site position based in Erbil. The role ensures safe, reliable and efficient operation of NHT, reformer, isomerisation and gas plant units, while supporting continuous improvement and compliance with safety and environmental standards.

Key responsibilities

• Conduct daily field inspections and monitor process parameters for NHT, reformer, isomerisation and gas plant units.
• Troubleshoot operational issues and recommend optimisation measures to increase throughput, energy efficiency and product quality.
• Coordinate with operations, maintenance and engineering teams during start‑ups, shutdowns and routine maintenance.
• Review and update operating procedures to align with HSE and regulatory requirements.
• Prepare technical reports, operational summaries and recommendations for senior management.
• Train site personnel on best practices, safety protocols and new technologies.

Required profile

• Bachelor’s degree in Chemical, Petroleum or Mechanical Engineering or equivalent experience.
• Proven experience in field operations, troubleshooting and optimisation within refinery or gas‑plant environments.
• Strong understanding of process safety management, HSE standards and risk‑assessment practices.
• Ability to interpret P&IDs, process flow diagrams and technical documentation for field decision‑making.
• Effective communication and collaboration skills for multi‑disciplinary teamwork.
